Driving and Parking Directions

From Bradley International Airport: Follow Route 20 to I-91 South to I-84 West in Hartford. Follow I-84 West about 7 miles to Exit 39, which is after Exit 39A. Turn right at first traffic light onto Route 4 East (Farmington Avenue). At the third traffic light, turn right to enter the Health Center campus.

From I-84: Take Exit 39 (if coming from I-84 West, Exit 39 is after 39A). Turn right at the first traffic light onto Route 4 East (Farmington Avenue). At the third traffic light, turn right to enter the Health Center campus.

From Northbound Route 9: Take Exit 32 (left exit) onto I-84 West and stay in the right lane. Take Exit 39 (first exit). Turn right at the first traffic light onto Route 4 East (Farmington Avenue). At the third traffic light, turn right to enter the Health Center campus.

Parking: After entering the UConn Health Center campus from Route 4 (Farmington Avenue) go 0.2 miles until you reach a stop sign (you might notice a duck pond on your left). Go straight at the stop sign and veer left at the "Y" intersection following the signs for Hospital/Upper Campus. At the end of the "Y" intersection there is a stop sign (note that oncoming traffic does not stop). Go through the stop sign and follow the winding road up the hill for 0.3 miles to another stop sign. Go straight at the stop sign and stop at the white information booth to ask the attendant for parking instructions. After parking, enter the main hospital entrance and stop at the information booth located on your right as you enter the hospital. Ask to be put through to Dr Mark Maciejewski (telephone extension 8759) if you are planning to use the NMR spectrometers or the computational facility, Dr Glenn King (extension 8364) if you are planning to use the Multi-Angle Laser Light Scattering Facility, or Dr Zheng-yu Peng (extension 2885) if you are planning to use the Circular Dichroism Facility.

To Return to Route 9: Exit the Health Center campus via Munson Road. At the end of Munson Road, turn left onto South Road. At the next stop sign, turn right and follow signs to I-84 East, staying in the right lane to exit onto Route 9 South.
